Visa power.... go get it!

6:30AM fast local starts from Thane and goes to CST. We (Baba and me)caught it at right time without fail on Thane station. Thank God there was no rain that time.

My interview was scheduled on 15th June at 8:30 AM. One day before we started from Pune and reached Thane by Saihyadri express. After so long probably after 3-4 years I was traveling to Mumbai by train. That reminded me my old days as a child, when we used to travel to Mumbai in train to meet mavashi. We reached there at around 6:45. Sayali came to pick us up and we all went to see mavashi's new house. Ramkaka and mavashi asked me 10-20 questions to see if my preparation is ok. We got up early in the morning at 5:30 since we wanted to catch first train which goes to CST.

Train reached Bhaykhala on time and we had some breakfast in a hotel there. We then reached at visa consulate in taxi. I was there in the queue at 7:15. There was a separate line for the people having appointment at 8:30. I talked to a student who was going to Illinois Chicago.

They called us inside in no time. After some security checks we were allowed to enter inside the main hall. Then we were asked to stand in a queue to submit documents like I20. There all the documents were there which I submitted in Pune consulate office at Soharab hall 15 days back.

Then we were told to stand in a queue to take our finger prints. The man there was a typical American who welcomed me with a smile and wished me, "Good morning Sir!". I also wished him. Then comes the funniest part. I put my thumb on the small glass part of the instrument. I put both index fingers of both the hands. I thought hw would tell me to go ahead. But to my surprise, he could not understand the images on the screen. And he thought there is some problem with my fingers like any wound or something. So he asked me to show my finers to him. I did so. Then he smiled. I asked me if there was any problem. He said no problem and asked me to sit in the passage where all the people were waiting.

My number was 113 and still the numbers which were getting called were not more than 40-50. In 15 minutes my number was called and I was then standing in the queue. There were only 5 people infront of me. A gorgeous lady was taking the interview. Shw was really awesome. I thought the first American lady which I saw just was this good looking then in coming two years how much fun I am going to have. She was very frinedly. She denied one visa but accepted all the other visa requests.

Ahead of the guy who was ifront of me there was a girl. The gorgeous lady called her for interview. And in the middle of the interview another American lady came in her cabin and started chatting with her. I was so desperate to get all the things done and starting becomging impatient. I said in tension "Come on ... just finish it!!". The guy infront of me heard it and smiled at me. He said relax. After that when his turn came I wished him all the bast. He liked that. In a minute or so he came backed and said, "kuch nahi yaar, tera bhi ho jayega" those worded really helped me ease the tension which was building.

Me: Good morning mam.
VO: Give me your token.
I gave it.
VO: Why are you going to US?
Me : To pursue MS in Computer science.
VO : Why this university?
Me : First I liked the course structure and the courses they are providing ...
VO : Who is sponsoring you?
Me : My mother and father both.
VO : How mush funds do you have in bank?
Me : I have blah blah in cash for the first year and for second year bah blah in FDs and others.
VO : How many universities did you apply?
Me : eight.
VO " Ok sir, Your visa is granted and you will receive it in couple of days by courier to your home.
Me : Thanks mam ... thanks a lot.

That was all.

Golden happiness.

"So the situation boils down to "what others think of me". If you don't bother about others, you are 100% at everything and you will be happy. :-) But, if you want to live to others' expectations, you will never be 100% and obviously never be happy."

This is an excerpt from the Dilbert's blog. There is a new funda of life which is quite convincing. Just hit this link:

I think I am quite close to what is mentioned in this blog. Whenever I am trying to be a 'Mr. Perfect', I witnessed some form of deep feeling which asks me "Why? was it really needed?". If I had achieved about 80% of what I did, I would not have lost much. The efforts which I put in to get those extra 20% have taken away much out of me.

Finally, there should be a perfect balance where you must decide which way to go. At last this principle will not work all the times. So, just decide whether you want to be at the top or you just want to achieve 80%. Once it is done and you stick to it, you will certainly be happy at the end.

3-D sound

Came to know about this amazing technology on this Friday.

Just listen to the virtual barbershop and you will really thank me. This was a memorable moment in my life. I really jumped up from my chair when I first hear that sound coming from the right ear. Initially I thought that there is someone who is really doing some repairing work at the right hand side of mine. The sound of bag was really weird. Witnessed some really funny expressions and reactions of Aniket. :)

I have downloaded some stuff related to this. I think this will be going to the future of the upcoming movies in this century.
